Note: The DOC's Statewide Transitional Housing List is available for viewing in Washington State Library branches for in library use only.

Employment and Education

Resources that are available state and/or nationwide, i.e. FAFSA, and resources that are in many/most counties in Washington, i.e. State Board of Community and Technical College information and L&I apprenticeship information.

Health

Information on resources available to address physical health, mental health, and substance abuse services including food banks, help groups, and statewide/nationwide non-profits.

Government Assistance

Financial and resource assistance from the state and federal government, e.g. DSHS Cash and Food assistance, cell phone and cell service, social security benefits.

• 2-1-1 is a free confidential community service and your one-stop connection to the local services you need, from utility assistance, food, housing, health, child care, after school programs, elder care, crisis intervention and much more. Washington 2-1-1 is continually updating and adding resources to a comprehensive database of over 27,000 services that you can also access and search online. Search by location, service category, service term, or agency name to find the resources you need.
