Social Security Card

  • New or Replacement Social Security Number and Card [1]

    • NOTE: Application must be sent to local office, if you are requesting an application from library staff please also provide the city or zip code where you will be sending your application.


Washington State Identification Card and Drivers License

  • Check the status of an ID Card or a Driver License [4]
    • NOTE: This is an online form that requires personal information. The Library cannot fill this form out for an individual.
  • Get Your WA Identification (ID) Card [5]

    • Replace a lost ID Card [7]
  • Get Your WA Driver License [8]
    • Renew your Driver License [9]
      • If your license has been expired over 6 years, you can't renew. You’ll need to start over.

  • Proof of Identity [11]
    • This is the first step in getting your ID Card or Driver License. Lists and links to accepted as well as unaccepted documents that can be used to establish proof of identity.
  • Get Your Enhanced ID Card (EID) or Enhanced Driver License (EDL) [12]
    • This is an acceptable alternative to a passport for re-entry into the U.S. You can only use it when you cross borders by land or sea.
    • Proof of citizenship, identity, Social Security number, and residence for EID/EDL [13]
    • When you apply for a Washington EID or EDL, all of these need to be proven with documents. Lists and links to accepted as well as unaccepted documents that can be used to establish proof.

  • Washington DOL - Ignition Interlock Driver License (IIL) [16]
    • An Ignition Interlock Driver License (IIL) allows you to drive a vehicle while your license is suspended or revoked for a drug or alcohol-related offense. You may apply for an IIL at any time, including after being arrested or after your revocation hearing. When you get an IIL you must maintain an interlock device in the vehicles you drive for the rest of your suspension.
  • Washington DOL - Occupational/Restricted Driver License (ORL) [17]
    • While your driver license is suspended or revoked, you may be eligible to receive an Occupational/Restricted Driver License (ORL). An ORL restricts the times of day, days of the week, areas, and vehicles you may drive.
  • Washington DOL - Restricted Driver License Application 8/2015 [18]
    • In order to apply for an IIL or ORL, a Restricted Driver License Application must be submitted.

Child Support and License Suspension 7/2017 [22]

  • The Division of Child Support (DCS) may suspend licenses of parents who are behind in their child support payments. The law allows DCS to suspend any license issued by the State of Washington, including drivers' licenses, hunting licenses, fishing licenses, professional licenses and contractor or occupational licenses.
