Opportunity Council
- The Opportunity Council is a private, non-profit Community Action Agency serving homeless and low-income families and individuals. Our goal is to help people learn to become self-sufficient. For 50 years we have offered a broad scope of services that range from addressing immediate and crisis-oriented needs (food, emergency shelter, eviction-prevention) to longer-term programs that promote self-sufficiency in our community (early childhood education, home weatherization).

The Lighthouse Mission
- The Mission works to break the cycle of homelessness in the lives of people experiencing it through vital services such as nutritious meals, safe shelter, and one-on-one case management. 24/7 Drop In Center, The Mission (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, Men’s Shelter: 40 beds for men progressing on goals, Extended Stay Shelter: Housing six advanced working residents, Special Needs Shelter: Serving nine men with special needs, Whatcom County provides mental health support, The Cove: An apartment-like space for a single parent family, Medical Respite: Two beds for men referred by PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, Housing for Women and Children, Child Care and The New Life Program (NLP) is a year-long intensive, Biblically-based, men’s addiction recovery community aimed at Christian discipleship and identity/vocation formation.)

Lydia Place [17]
- Lydia Place is a nonprofit, community-based agency serving homeless families since 1989. Lydia Place is an active participant in our community’s effort to end homelessness in Whatcom County. Emergency, transitional and permanent supportive housing, Housing case management, Parenting support, Lifeskills and Family Connection classes, Behavioral health counseling, Community resource referrals, Education and advocacy about the faces and causes of homelessness.

Christian Hope Association
- New Way Home is a six-month housing program for moms and kids. We provide resources that help and encourage families to take the necessary steps that will point their lives in a new direction. Great Expectations is designed for pregnant women who need a temporary home support during and after pregnancy. All women are welcome whether they plan to parent or adopt. The Next Steps program is a one-year extended plan for residents who have completed and graduated from the six-month New Way Home Program. The resident moves into a subsidized apartment at New Way Ministries and pays reduced rent.

Pioneer Human Services
- Pioneer serves people released from prison or jail in Washington State, and those in recovery from addiction, who are in need of treatment, housing and job skills training. Our mission as a social enterprise is to provide individuals with criminal histories the opportunity to lead healthy, productive lives.
