Stepping Stones Sober Living Community
*Stepping Stones is a sober living community, for individuals recovering from substance abuse. By promoting independence and personal responsibility, we mitigate relapse in substance abusers. The goal of Stepping Stones is to ensure every recovering individual has access to quality housing and a supportive environment including employment. Stepping Stones housing is based on the Oxford model operating on the concept of group accountability, democratically run by residents.

Bridges of Hope
*The Bridges of Hope transitional living house provides a setting to conduct a Christ centered, transformational community seeking to assist men released from jail, prison, and substance abuse rehabilitation centers.. It is intended to be an intentional Christian community. Members will live in an atmosphere of trust, security, and mutual respect for each other's dignity. Through transformational discipleship with mentors, it will include vocational and life skills training, and educational opportunities. We will encourage holistic restoration to a successful and autonomous cultural / social/ spiritual lifestyle and becoming responsible members of society.

Opportunity Council
*The Opportunity Council is a private, non-profit Community Action Agency serving homeless and low-income families and individuals. Our goal is to help people learn to become self-sufficient. For 50 years we have offered a broad scope of services that range from addressing immediate and crisis-oriented needs (food, emergency shelter, eviction-prevention) to longer-term programs that promote self-sufficiency in our community (early childhood education, home weatherization).

Whatcom Homeless Service Center
*We coordinate many of the housing resources in Whatcom County and have created a centralized and accessible way to link consumers to appropriate services. Our coordinated system refers to an approach which implements a county-wide no wrong door strategy and provides centralized intake, assessment, and referral services for homeless housing. We maintain one Housing Pool for the entire community, through which we can keep up to date records of the housing needs of those seeking housing services. With cross-agency coordination, interim case management, and eligibility information provided via the Housing Pool, we aim to make the most appropriate referrals and improve outcomes for those we serve.

Lydia Place
*Lydia Place is a nonprofit, community-based agency serving homeless families since 1989. Lydia Place is an active participant in our community’s effort to end homelessness in Whatcom County. Emergency, transitional and permanent supportive housing, Housing case management, Parenting support, Lifeskills and Family Connection classes, Behavioral health counseling, Community resource referrals, Education and advocacy about the faces and causes of homelessness.

Christian Hope Association
*New Way Home is a six-month housing program for moms and kids.  We provide resources that help and encourage families to take the necessary steps that will point their lives in a new direction. Great Expectations is designed for pregnant women who need a temporary home support during and after pregnancy. All women are welcome whether they plan to parent or adopt. The Next Steps program is a one-year extended plan for residents who have completed and graduated from the six-month New Way Home Program.  The resident moves into a subsidized apartment at New Way Ministries and pays reduced rent.

Compass Health 
*Compass Health is a private, non-profit, state licensed organization providing mental health and chemical dependency services.  We provide services in Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties. Our Whatcom County location provides medical health care services to those individuals enrolled in behavioral health services who otherwise would not have access to these services within the community.  Services include office visits for illnesses, injuries and long term health problems.  Counseling and guidance through all times of complex health care is always provided.
