About

WRH_specs_tool extracts XMP data from image files and writes them to a tab delimted txt file based on WRH project specs. This tool was written by Laura Robinson, create date: 2009-10-05, update version 2: 2009-12-15
  • note: this file was written and tested with the msxsl (c) transformation processor and exifTool (C), both of which are bundled inside WRH_specs_tool directory.

Install

  1. extract WRH_specs_tool your hard drive (i.e. C:\Desktop\WRH_specs_tool-v2)
    1. NOTE: script must run directly from your hard drive. UNC paths are not supported (i.e. \\server\user\WRH_specs_tool is bad)

How to Run

  1. open the WRH_specs_tool folder
  2. put access images in the _Web folder (see sample images)
  3. put master images in the _Archival folder (see sample images)
  4. execute the script by double clicking write_specs_tab
  5. if there are no errors, the script will run and when finished, open the specs_tab.txt file
